BLACKSBURG, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Tuesday will mark 17 years since the mass shooting at Virginia Tech.

Governor Glenn Youngkin has ordered flags across the Commonwealth to be flown at half-staff for the day.

This includes U.S. and Virginia flags on all state and local buildings and grounds.

On April 16, 2007, 32 people were killed at Virginia Tech.

Per Youngkin’s order, flags will be lowered at sunrise and remain at half-staff until sunset on Tuesday.
