CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Family members of the University of Virginia students killed on Grounds in November 2022 are speaking out after the settlements were finalized Friday.

They say they're frustrated with the lack of communication from the university regarding the findings of an internal investigation.

Happy Perry, the mother of slain football player D'Sean Perry, says such a release would do much for her peace of mind.

"As a mom, I want to know what happened," she said. "It is my right to know what happened."

She also says she hopes lives can be saved if the university releases what it found in that investigation.
