CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Virginia State Police is asking for help to identify a pickup involved in a hit-and-run.

According to police, the incident occurred on Brookneal Highway at the intersection with Brown’s Mill Road in Campbell County on June 5.

Around 9:05 a.m., a silver or gray four-door pickup ran a stop sign on Brown’s Mill Road and hit the back passenger side of a 2017 Toyota Sienna that was southbound on Brookneal Highway.

The crash caused the Toyota to crash head-on with a northbound dump truck.

The pickup continued north on Brookneal Highway, toward Rustburg, without stopping.

The driver and passenger in the Toyota suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The driver of the dump truck was not hurt.
