CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A man from Fluvanna County has pleaded guilty to a 2020 murder charge in Charlottesville.

On Monday, Tajuan Rahmeen Allen pleaded to the Nov. 5, 2020, murder of Dreshawn McDonald on South First Street.

According to a release, Allen also pleaded to a malicious wounding charge in connection with an incident that occurred at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail on Dec. 8, 2023.

Allen was arrested in Pennsylvania on Nov. 29, 2020, and was extradited to Charlottesville on Oct. 3, 2023.

He will remain in custody in ACRJ until his sentencing date, which has been scheduled for Sept. 24.
