LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- One person was seriously hurt when a pontoon boat capsized on Lake Anna in Louisa County.

According to WRIC in Richmond, the incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources received a report about an incident involving a single boat with possible injuries.

The investigation found the boat capsized between Bear Castle Drive and the Brinks Landing area.

DWR says there were seven people aboard at the time. The person who was seriously hurt was wearing a lifejacket when the boat flipped.

They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

DWR reports the cause of the capsizing is still under investigation, but alcohol is not being considered a contributing factor at this time.
