ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- People attending one of the area’s Fourth of July celebrations will have a place to go to cool off.

Scottsville is opening a cooling center in Victory Hall from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday.

The center will be located in the Scottsville Town Council meeting room, and free water will be available. The room is also handicap accessible.
