CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19SPORTS)-- The Tom Sox were back in action at home against the Culpeper Cavaliers on Saturday night in search of their 20th win this season.

The Cavaliers were the first to score a run off of a walk, but pitcher, Chase Stryker, was able to get out of a bases-loaded jam at the end of the inning.

In the bottom of the second, Blake Brookins slams a two-run homer right over the fence to give the Tom Sox the lead. Robbie Lavey comes up to bat in the bottom of the fifth and nails one down left field, the Cavaliers miss the grab, and that allows for Ryan Wynn to reach home to bring the Tom Sox to, 3-1.

The Cavaliers add four runs in the eighth, but the Tom Sox don't give up, and they get their 20th win of the season, 8-5.

The Tom Sox will be at John Moxie Memorial Stadium on Sunday night to take on the Staunton Braves. First pitch is set for 7:30 pm.
