Albemarle creates deputy director of Community Development post

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Albemarle County now has a deputy director of Community Development.

The county announced the appointed of Amelia McCulley on Monday.

The position is a new one that will focus on providing operational leadership for the Department of Community Development.

McCulley has more than three decades of professional experience with the county, most recently as Zoning Administrator.

“I have complete confidence that Amelia can maintain customer service for current programs while providing the innovative leadership needed to support the county's vision for the future,” said Mark Graham, the director of Community Development.

The county is now looking to a new Zoning Administrator.
