For much of today clouds have remained over our area halting us from getting to our forecasted temperature. Tonight, our temperatures should reach down into the lower 50s and upper 40s. Could see a stray shower in our region. Tomorrow we will have showers through out the majority of the day with temperatures reaching into the mid to low 60s.

A low pressure system has formed in the Tennessee valley. This storm system will impact us on Sunday. We could see some rain showers in the early morning hours and could hear some rumbles of thunder. The biggest threat from this storm system is gusty winds. The severe threat will lay to the east of us closer to Richmond and Virginia Beach. As this storm system moves off shore and to the north we have the potential of seeing some snow showers on the back side. These showers will be primarily in the mountains. We could see a flake or two in the Charlottesville area but no accumulation. After this system passes on Monday morning we will enter a dry and bland weather pattern for the remainder of the week.

Monday: Mostly Clear Skies and breezy. Highs in the mid to upper 40s.

Tuesday: Mostly Sunny Skies. Highs upper 40s.

Wednesday: Partly Cloudy Skies. Highs in the mid 50s.

Thursday: Partly Cloudy Skies. Lows in the low 50s

Friday: Partly cloudy Skies. Highs in the mid 50s .

Saturday: Partly Cloudy. Highs in the low 50s.
