CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A summer contest that will let you save money while you help the climate and have some fun is kicking off this week.
It's called the Summer Sprint, and it's a six-week friendly competition aimed at helping households cut their energy use. The Summer Sprint is part of the nonprofit Charlottesville Climate Collaborative (C3).
C3’s Residential Program Manager Claire Habel says it's an easy introduction to climate action.
"This is a great way to enter at the ground level, start training, if you will, for our home energy challenge. It's noncommital, it's super fun, and it's a way for you to engage your friends in taking action and learning along the way," Habel said.
C3 will be offering details about the Summer Sprint and its Home Energy Challenge at a free community party on Wednesday night at Three Notch’d Brewery. For more information, click on the link in the Related Links box.
