Izula Horns perform to help The Haven

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Musicians from the city came together Monday night to raise money for The Haven.

Izula Horns performed Christmas songs in the chapel of The Haven to bring the community together for a good cause.

Katy Ambrose, a French horn player for Izula Horns and the organizer of the event, said this is the first time the group has done a benefit concert for The Haven.

Through their music, she hopes the players can give back in a big way.

"Music can transcend socio-economic boundaries," Ambrose said. "It really can bring together people of any means."

The donations made by people who attended the concert will go toward helping The Haven.
