GREENE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A tractor trailer crash that occurred Friday morning closed part of Route 33 in Greene County for several hours.
The Virginia Department of Transportation says the crash occurred just east of the Greene/Rockingham county line around 10 a.m.
Initially, Route 33 was completely shut down, but the eastbound lanes reopened around 12 p.m.
The westbound lanes remain closed until about 5:40 p.m.
During the closure, cars were being directed onto a detour using Dyke Road to get to Route 250 and then Interstate 64 to get around the closure.
Tractor trailers were being detoured back down 33 to Route 29 and then to I-64.
At this time, there is no word on injuries associated with the crash.
