HARRISONBURG, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Brianna Tinsley is officially a member of the JMU women's basketball team the school announced Monday.
Tinsley announced her decision to leave Virginia in April. A Madison County and St. Anne's-Belfield alum, Tinsley left Virginia after two seasons in Charlottesville.
She started 55 of 64 games in the last two seasons. As a sophomore, Tinsley finished third on the team in scoring (7.6 ppg) and second on the team in 3-pointers made with 44.
While at STAB, TInsley originally committed to JMU, but flipped to Virginia when former JMU head coach Kenny Brooks left Harrisonburg for Virginia Tech.
Tinsley will have two seasons of eligibility left at JMU after sitting out the 2019-20 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
