Quick turnaround latest test for Wahoos

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- One team has been able to beat Virginia this basketball season with Duke picking up its second win over the Wahoos Saturday night.

The next team to attempt to beat the Cavaliers is North Carolina on a quick turnaround for both teams. The two face off Monday night in Chapel Hill.

The Cavaliers haven't lost back-to-back games since 2017 when Virginia lost four games in a row between February 12th at Virginia Tech and February 20, an overtime loss at Miami. Sandwiched between those two losses was a loss at home to Duke and a loss at North Carolina.

The Tar Heels are tied with Duke atop the ACC standings and 9-1. North Carolina is coming off an overtime win at home against Miami Saturday afternoon.

"Keep trying to tighten up. Just try to be as sound as you can. The formula doesn't change. You know, little adjustments here and there. You don't have much time. We're going to play Carolina. So, get yourself ready. Grow from this the little bit that we can. Come out and hopefully be more ready and that will be a great challenge too."

"We've made a lot of great strides this season. 20-and-2 is nothing to hang your hat on. Obviously there's a lot of room for improvement and there's some things we need to tighten up and I think you'll see that throughout the year."
