CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- Virginia's NCAA championship banner will be raised to the rafters of John Paul Jones Arena on Sept. 13.

The school announced on Wednesday morning that JPJ will be the site of "A Night with the National Champions" on Sept. 13. The event will feature the raising of the championship banner, and members of the NCAA champion men's basketball team will be presented with their championship rings.

Head coach Tony Bennett and members of the Cavaliers' championship team will address the audience before the ring presentation. The banner ceremony will be the culmination of the celebration.

The event is open to the public, with tickets on sale now. Tickets for the lower bowl of JPJ cost $50, while seats in the upper bowl cost $25.

UVA beat Texas Tech 85-77 in overtime on April 8 to complete the Cavaliers' run to the program's first-ever basketball national championship.
