UVA's 'Bryces' headed to ACC Kickoff

GREENSBORO, N.C. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The Virginia football team is sending the 'Bryces' to represent the program later this month in Charlotte.

Quarterback Bryce Perkins and cornerback Bryce Hall will be the two UVA players joining head coach Bronco Mendenhall at ACC Football Kickoff on July 18 in downtown Charlotte. Both were All-ACC selections as juniors for the Wahoos last season, with Hall earning first-team honors and Perkins earning honorable mention.

Hall turned down the opportunity to leave for the NFL Draft to return to UVA for a fourth season this fall. A second-team All-America selection by three separate outlets, Hall led the country with 22 pass breakups, while his 24 passes defended were tied for the most nationally.

In his first season after arriving from an Arizona junior college, Perkins set UVA single-season records with 3,603 yards of total offense and 34 total touchdowns. His 25 passing touchdowns were tied for second on the school's single-season list, and tied for second in the ACC.

The two-day ACC Football Kickoff will feature players and coaches from the Atlantic Division on July 17, then representatives from the Coastal Division on July 18.
