New initiative focuses on American history and civic education

As part of its commemoration of Constitution Day and the upcoming 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, the National Endowment for the Humanities has launched an organization-wide initiative focusing on American history and civic education.


Charlottesville Information Technology Department has won a Governor's Technology Award for a recently developed software system that deals with data collected from the free meal program for school children.
