LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- More than a dozen restaurants in Louisa County are participating in this year’s Restaurant Week, which begins Friday.

“Restaurant Week is a great way to remind residents there are great dining options close to home,” said Louisa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Duane Adams. “We also invite residents of neighboring counties to take a scenic drive over Lake Anna or through the countryside to try our great seafood, BBQ, farm-to-table dishes, and other delicious options.”

The Louisa County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism coordinates the event.

It’s saying diners can download the “Visit Louisa” app on their mobile device to see a full list of the participating restaurants as well as enter special codes for a chance to win gift cards to local businesses.

For each associated meal purchased at a participating restaurant, LCPRT will donate $1 to the Louisa County Resource Council.

There are currently 17 restaurants participating, ranging from barbeque to pizza to Italian cuisine and more.

Restaurant Week runs through March 19.
