ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Albemarle County Police Department says a man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, officers responded around 4:15 p.m. to an incident involving a pedestrian being hit on the 2200 block of Hydraulic Road.

ACPD says a school employee that has been directing traffic was hit by a vehicle that then drove off.

The victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Even though the driver had left the scene, witnesses were able to give officers a description of the vehicle and its driver.

Following their investigation, officers have arrested 75-year-old Donald Ralph Navone, who has been charged for not stopping at the scene of an accident involving injury, death or damage to attended property.
