CHARLOTTESVILLE Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- UVA locked up their first ACC series win in over a month with a 4-1 victory over Louisville.

In his second start of the week Connelly Early threw 6 Ks over 6 innings pitched, earning the win in his first weekend start.

UVA got on the board first as Colin Tuft launched his first home run of the year in the bottom of the third. The solo shot put UVA up 1-0 but the lead would be short lived as Louisville brought in a run of their own in the top of the 4th on a single up the middle.

In Colin Tuft's next at bat his single to right field was just enough to bring in Henry Godbout, although Anthony Stephan tried to advance home he was tagged out, keeping the lead at 2-1. UVA would extend the lead in the bottom of the fifth. After walking Jake Gelof, Ethan O'Donnell ran home on a passed ball opportunity, the error gave UVA a 3-1 lead. Another unearned run would later bring in Gelof as UVA made it a 4-1, claiming the series win.

UVA and Louisville face off at 1pm in the Cavalier's season finale at the Dish Sunday at 1pm for senior day.
