CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- “When you come to a coffee shop like Kindness Cafe, you’re going to see adults with disabilities doing things that all adults are able to do, and doing it with a smile, doing it joyfully,” said Reagan Stillerman, the director of operations at Kindness Cafe.

Kindness Cafe has been giving people with disabilities employment opportunities for years, and it wants to be able to give more to the Charlottesville community.

“It gives them a sense of purpose, daily schedule, social connections,” added Stillerman.

Kindness Cafe is planning to open a second Kindness Cafe in the Common Grounds building, which is very close to the University of Virginia.

But it needs help to raise funds for this new location, and it’s very easy to lend a helping hand to this business.

“So we want you to watch our video, go to our website, check out our video, it’s our staff doing what they love and what they do best. And then share it, share it with your friends, family, get it out in the community,” said Stillerman.

And you can get some merchandise if you donate anywhere from $10 to $100.

This fundraising will all go into the expansion and create kinder and more inclusive communities.

“We hope to continue to bring joy to this community. We think when you come to Kindness, you’re not just getting a cup of coffee, you’re getting an experience and our staff is happy to serve,” added Stillerman.

Kindness Cafe is running its fundraising campaign until June 21, and you can visit here to make a donation.
