ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A second person died over the weekend in connection with Friday’s shooting on Berkmar Drive and one person is facing murder charges.

The Albemarle County Police Department responded to a shots fired call around 5:05 p.m. Friday in a parking lot near the Jiffy Lube and the car wash.

One victim died at the scene and the second was taken to the University of Virginia Health System in critical condition. The second died Saturday of the injuries they sustained.

The victims have now been identified as 27-year-old Carlos Atilio Portillo Requeno and 22-year-old Gerardo Antonio Chicas-Torres, both residents of Albemarle County.

When officers arrived on the scene, they detained 22-year-old Charles Munoz De Jesus of Albemarle County, who is now facing two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
