LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim and suspect involved in a Sunday shooting.

Deputies responded to the incident around 3:45 p.m. on the 2100 block of South Spotswood Trail.

When they got on the scene, they found a 33-year-old white man, now identified as Michael Wayne Harris of Louisa, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the office of the medical examiner.

Deputies learned Harris had been brought to the Spotswood Trail location to seek medical attention after having been shot at a home on the 5000 block of South Spotswood Trail, which is several miles away.

Officials also determined that 35-year-old Kenneth Justino Rowley of Louisa, who has been arrested, was known to Harris.

“At about 10:45 last night, that individual turned themself in. He was brought to the sheriff’s office and was taken into custody,” said Chuck Love, Louisa County Sheriff’s Office PIO.

Rowley is facing a murder charge in connection with this incident.

Additional charges are pending.
