Immersive opera coming to Charlottesville
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- An interactive opera is coming to Charlottesville.
"All is Apathetic in Love and War" is an opera that follows an entangled love triangle. This immersive opera will occur all throughout the Fralin Museum with audience members encouraged to walk amongst the performers.
This is an opportunity to get up close and personal with both the storyline as well as the singers.
"This is a way for the audience to see the opera singers up close, this close to their face, and hear the beauty that this organic cavity that they have in their body that projects this beautiful music, they can be that close to it and I hope that they can take away something that inspires them," said Nathan Felix, the opera's composer.
The opera opens on Nov. 3. It takes place between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and is free to the public.
