LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The health departments in Louisa County are moving.

The Blue Ridge Health District says the two health departments will be merging into one building on Woolfolk Avenue, beginning Dec. 1.

According to a release, the clinical operations and Women, Infant and Children offices will be in Suite 202 while environmental health and vital records will be in Suite 203 at the new locations.

BRHD says the Louisa County Health Department was in the same building years ago and is moving back into a newly renovated space.

Due to the move, in-person services will close temporarily.

For example, WIC will be closed from Nov. 28 to Dec. 10. In-person WIC services will resume in the new location on Dec. 11.

Clinical services will also close on Nov. 28, but clinics will not resume until the end of December and be by appointment only.

Environmental health and vital records will be closed Nov. 30 to Dec. 5, with in-person services resuming on Dec. 6.

While the address is changing, BRHD says the phone numbers will remain the same.

To call clinical operations and WIC, dial (540) 967-3703. For environmental health and vital records, call (540) 967-3707.
