ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- In hopes of raising $2,000 for Loaves and Fishes, Albemarle High School partnered with Monticello High School for their Empty Bowls fundraiser on Tuesday.

Over 100 students from the schools made woven and ceramic bowls.

Lauren Smith, a senior at Albemarle High School, explains how the fundraiser works.

“It’s a $10 entrance fee. It’s from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the lower cafeteria here and that $10 entrance fee gets you a meal, dessert, and a bowl at the end of the night,” she says.
