CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Police Department is looking for a man in connection with a Tuesday evening shooting in the Fifeville area.

According to police, officers responded to a shots fired call around 7:10 p.m. in the area of the 700 block of Prospect Avenue.

When officers got to the scene, they found a victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation turned up evidence that the shooting has actually occurred at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Ridge Street.

Around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, CPD announced it had obtained warrants for Corinthian "Zayquan" Brown on charged of malicious wounding, shooting from a vehicle, maliciously shooting at a vehicle, and use of a firearm during a malicious wounding.

At this time, Brown is not in custody and he is considered armed and dangerous.

The gunshot victim was taken to the University of Virginia Health System for treatment. The person's condition is unknown at this time.
