CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Local job seekers will have a chance to meet with recruiters and access community resources and services next week.

The John Paul Jones Arena will be hosting the University of Virginia Career and Community Fair on April 23.

More than 100 hiring managers and recruiters from the university and other area organizations will be on hand.

These will include representatives from the UVA Academic Divisions, the UVA Health System, UVA Facilities Management, and more.

Other employers will represent various industries, such as hospitality, construction and trades, with positions from entry-level to management.

Attendees are encouraged to dress to interview and bring copies of their resume.

The event will also offer access to community resources agencies with job seeker services, free professional headshots and career development workshops, help with completing applications, mock interviewing, and more.

This event is free and open to the public, and no pre-registration is required to attend.

It is sponsored by the UVA Pipelines and Pathways initiative.

The fair will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
