CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Road closures, and big crowds is what you can expect in downtown Charlottesville this weekend.

The 12th annual Tom Tom Festival is back in Charlottesville with events for everyone. Friday, the Tom Tom block party brought vendors, musicians, and the community together in the Downtown Mall. Saturday, the festivities continue with a farmers' market and scavenger hunt at IX Park, speakers, and another block party on the Mall at noon.

Before the block party, you can watch the 75th annual Dogwood Parade just across the road on Market Street and High Street, and if you can't make it out, don't worry, we will have live coverage on the parade starting at 11 a.m.

Expect delays and closures around the Downtown Mall and McIntire Road starting tomorrow at 8 a.m.

And later tomorrow, UVA football is back in Scott Stadium for their annual Blue and White game, open and free to the public at 2 p.m. The teams are set, and fans will be able to come and check out what the 2024 season Wahoos are doing to prepare for the fall.

With the busy weekend ahead, be aware of more traffic, and more pedestrians on the roads.
