One killed, one hurt in head-on crash in Albemarle County

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- An Albemarle County resident has died of injuries he suffered in a Thursday afternoon crash.
The Albemarle County Police Department says the crash occurred around 2:40 p.m. on the 600 block of Taylors Gap Road.
ACPD officers and members of the Albemarle County Department of Fire Rescue responded to the two-vehicle, head-on crash.
Both drivers were taken to the University of Virginia Health System, one with non-life-threatening injuries and the other with life-threatening injuries.
The driver with the life-threatening injuries, later identified as 32-year-old Nathaniel B. Spindel, died of his injuries at the hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
