CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred on Maury Avenue on Friday morning.

In an Off-Grounds Community Alert, the University of Virginia Police Department says a person brandished a knife during a verbal dispute.

The incident occurred around 6:35 a.m. Friday on the 100 block of Maury Avenue.

The suspect left the scene on a white bicycle, heading toward Jefferson Park Avenue.

There is only a vague description of the suspect available, which says he is a 40-year-old man wearing a green hat. However, UPD says the suspect has since been located and identified.

No injuries have been reported.
