ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The Cavaliers earned their seventh ACC series win in the last eight Sunday with a 4-3 win over Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon.

Junior Shelby Barbee continued her hot performance this weekend, going 2-for-2 and a walk with two RBI. Eden Bigham earned the victory, tossing four innings in relief and allowing one run on three hits and a strikeout.

The Cavaliers got on the board first in the top of the first from a wild pitch that brought home Bella Cabral from third base. In the third, Georgia Tech got on the board with a double to right center brought her home and evened the score at 1-1.

A few batters later, the Yellow Jackets doubled their lead with a single to left from Tiffany Domingue.

Virginia moved back in front in the sixth inning. A sac fly to right from Shelby Barbee brought home Abby Weaver before a single through the left side from Leah Boggs brought home Kailyn Jones and put the Cavaliers up 4-2.

Virginia will enjoy a bye week this upcoming week before they play in the ACC Tournament next weekend. As of Sunday afternoon's results, the Cavaliers currently sit as the fifth seed, which would mean they would open the tournament in the quarterfinal round on Thursday, May 9 against the fourth seed.
