CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Decades Arcade held its third annual John Breen Memorial Charity Pinball Tournament over the weekend.

John Breen was a frequent pinball player at the arcade until he passed away from cancer. His one wish was for the arcade to hold an annual charity tournament to give back to the Ronald McDonald House, which helps families receiving treatment at the University of Virginia Health System.

“We have pinball players from all over the region come in and do a competitive pinball tournament, but we also have UVA athletes. We have members from the volleyball team, basketball, wrestling and football team here. And they are all here to play pinball with members of the public so they can raise awareness with their ability to bring people in,” Arcade manager Lindsey Daniels said.

With the help of some familiar faces from UVA athletics stopping in and playing games, and throughout the weekend, Decades was able to raise more than $1,100.
